Harrington's Road Race
The First Annual Harrington’s Pub Road Race (6k) at
Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield will be held on Columbus Day, Monday, October 10, 2011 @
10:00am. Print

Or, for your convenience, register online at RaceWire! There is free parking for the road race at Town Hall, 1 Lafayette Street, and Galvin Middle School, 525 Main Street, in Wakefield. Please note, the race starts and ends near the gazebo; the course runs around the lake for a duration of 5K. Festivities and awards after the race will take place at Harrington's.

Harrington's offers a full menu featuring a great selection of Irish and American cuisine, with Irish classics and contemporary favorites. We invite you to join us for a meal or a drink in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
Aside from great food in our restaurant, a fully-stocked bar, and a comfortable atmosphere where friends and family can gather, we also have an elegant function room where you can host your special event for up to 60 guests. Our function manager can help you select from our special menu offerings from buffet-style casual to sit-down formal.
Live music is featured on Friday and Saturday nights and on special occasions and Wednesday nights are for traditional Irish sessions! Tuesday is Trivia Night! Join the fun! Traditional Irish Seisiún
Wednesday nights at Harrington's Terry Weir hosts a traditional Irish Seisiún (new session page). This has become very popular with musicians and those who stay for the music after dinner. There's a fair crowd who come in just to enjoy the music as well.
An Irish traditional session (or Seisiún - it can be spelled either way - the latter one being Gaelic) is a gathering of musicians to play together. At the session you may hear tunes such as jigs, reels, hornpipes, airs, and such from Ireland on instruments like the fiddle, accordion, recorder, tin whistle, or even a guitar. You will hear songs sung with accompaniment and even the occasional verse or poem recited. From time to time there may be step dancing, too. We start at 8:30 every Wednesday night and go until 11:30.
Irish Specials
Wednesday nights enjoy Favorite Irish Fare for only $10.99 including Soup or Salad, Irish Bread, and our special dessert of the day along with coffee or tea. Entrees may include Corned Beef and Cabbage, Fish and Chips, Beef in Guinness, Shepard's Pie and more.
